Description:
I was born in 1946, in Valletta, and studied art at a young age but remained dormant for many years. It resurfaced twentyfour years ago when I returned to the School of Arts in 2000. I furthered my studies, for seven years, under the direction of the late Harry Alden. Colour is the dominant and forceful characteristic of my works. I produced three solo exhibitions and participated in various collective exhibitions. My preferred medium is oil. Most of my works are either at local institutions or private collections. Others can be found in Canada, France, Italy, Russia, United Kingdom, Australia and USA. One can view my works at www.frederickgingell.com.
