Published: December 13, 2025 9:51 am Josette Fenech is a distinguished Maltese artist best known for her distinctive abstract work. Her artistic journey has earned both national and international recognition, particularly through her solo exhibitions Riflessi (2013) and Against All Odds (2015), which received critical acclaim in Malta and abroad. In April 2016, she participated in Incontri, a collaborative project with three Italian artists organized in partnership with RIDT (University of Malta Research Trust). Later that year, she exhibited in Sognando con le Immagini, a group show held in Montone, Province of Perugia. In 2017, Josette represented Malta in Horizons, a solo exhibition marking the opening of Malta's Presidency of the Council of the European Union. She also presented Lwien il-Gzejjer, a solo exhibition in Gozo. Her international presence continued in July 2018 with Oasis, a group exhibition curated by RIDT and the Honorary Consulate General of the Slovak Republic. Josette has participated in numerous collective exhibitions both locally and overseas. She represented Malta at Stati d'Arte, an international exhibition at Villa Fidelia in Spello, in 2024 and 2025, and has recently taken part in various exhibitions across Umbria and Tuscany.
