Her work often focuses on vast seas and expansive skies, capturing the natural environment with tranquility and spiritual depth. Living by the sea, Alexia draws constant inspiration from its beauty, translating the fluidity of water and the play of light into her paintings. She studied art at an early age under Ms Margaret Chircop at the Convent of the Sacred Heart and later attended formal training with Mr Anton Calleja and Ms Debbie Caruana Dingli. While versatile?painting portraits, still life, and animals?Alexia finds her greatest inspiration in nature. Her art reflects both an intimate eye for beauty and a deep emotional connection with the world, offering viewers moments of serenity and escape from modern life. Alexia has exhibited in over 26 solo shows and numerous group exhibitions across Malta, Europe, the Caribbean, and the USA. She has completed major commissions, including murals in Holland, and presented works to the Royal Academy of Arts in London. Her evolving seascapes now include other subjects, such as the olive trees surrounding her Sicilian studio.
