Published: December 13, 2025 9:51 am Vania Goshe (b. 1976, Chirpan, Bulgaria) studied Cinema, Television, and Advertising at New Bulgarian University in Sofia while receiving formal training in painting and drawing. Since relocating to Malta in 2008, she has worked as a freelance artist, exhibiting widely across the islands. Her practice spans diverse media, unified by a pursuit of harmony within contrast?merging realism and abstraction to create luminous, emotionally resonant works that demonstrate a refined sensitivity to colour and balance. Goshe draws inspiration from many facets of Maltese life and culture, captivated by its traditions, daily rhythms, and celebratory spirit. The Mediterranean sun on the sea and limestone architecture revealed new dimensions to her work, contrasting with her continental upbringing. Her art seeks to uplift, transporting viewers beyond life's harsher realities through vibrant colour and rhythmic composition. She has held 19 solo exhibitions in Bulgaria and Malta, participated in over 100 group shows worldwide, and her works feature in private collections across Europe, the Americas, the Middle East, and Asia.
