Description:
Alaine is a local artist whose practice is rooted primarily in figurative painting, while also extending into expressive interpretations of the landscape. Guided by a deep sensitivity to colour and form, she explores the interplay between observation and abstraction, often using chromatic harmony and compositional structure to evoke mood, presence, and spatial tension. Alaine holds a Fine Arts degree from the University of Malta and has further developed her artistic approach through numerous workshops both locally and abroad. These experiences continue to inform her evolving visual language, characterised by a balance of disciplined technique and intuitive exploration. In this watercolour subtle shifts in colour and form animate the receding trees, creating a mood that reflects the artist?s ongoing dialogue between observation and interpretation.
