Ethelbert Perini (b. 1971, Malta) is a contemporary Maltese artist celebrated for his expressive use of soft pastels. Largely self-taught, Perini refined his skills under Harry Alden and at Malta.s School of Art with Anton Calleja, later enhancing his craft in life-drawing classes. His work balances structured technique with intuitive, textured strokes, creating vibrant depictions of landscapes, seascapes, and the human figure. Recent exhibitions include his first solo show at The Phoenicia Hotel, Valletta (2023), and numerous group shows emphasizing pastel media and community engagement.
