From a young age Josette Muscat was intrigued with art but started her journey at a late age. She attended various art lessons with prominent Maltese artists. Finding free time for herself during Covid ,she decided to take art seriously and started experimenting on her own. Starting with oils and acrylic, but when she started with watercolour she fell in love with the medium finding it challenging and requiring a specific understanding of how it flows and works. Painting flowers is her passion as the vibrant colours give life to her paintings.
Maltese history and it s architecture always appealed to her too and lately is showing her ability in creating colourful Maltese landscapes using a granulating effect which give her paintings a unique style. Josette is a member of Jean Haines online art school, an English artist and mentor, where she is learning how to be free and loose with her brushstrokes.
