Ganni Pace (b. 1946, Valletta) is a distinguished Maltese sculptor known for emotionally charged, socially conscious works. Formally trained at Malta's School of Art, he sculpts in stone, wood, and wax, inspired by Medardo Rosso's fusion of sculpture and painting. His forms reflect light in the Impressionist tradition, often portraying humanity as "a walking theatre." With an impressive number of solo exhibitions, Pace?s art expresses empathy for the poor and dispossessed. His studio in Pieta remains a creative hub where rough textures and eroded forms evoke nature?s force and human vulnerability. His recent exhibition, Symphonic Dreams, explored theatrical emotion and organic abstraction, continuing his lifelong dialogue between material and meaning.
