An impressive collection of 15 etchings of the famous engravings of the 1565 Siege of Malta by Matteo Perez d'Aleccio. Daniel Cilia's collaboration with Florentine publisher Masso dell Fate, has brought forth a new patented method of photo etching, combining modern with antique techniques. State of the art metal matrixes have been incised from the artist's 427-year-old original prints sized 44.5 x 30.5cm. Produced in 2009 with a limited numbered edition of 200 sets, all sold out. This one is the 'prova d'autore' - artist proof. The fifteen etchings are presented in an elegant hand-made box with an information booklet about their history by Dr. Albert Ganado.
