Published: September 15, 2023 5:40 pm Meet at Ta'Braxia Cemetery at 9am for a tour of this multi-faith cemetery by Professor Conrad Thake, the well known Maltese Architectural Historian. The tour for 20 people includes access to the splendid Lady Rachel Hamilton Gordon Chapel which is a private memorial chapel in the grounds designed by the celebrated English Architect John Loughborough Pearson, RA. (1817 - 1897). The tour will take approximately 90 minutes. At 10.30am self drive to Msida Bastion Cemetery for refreshments (tea, coffee and cake) on the terrace, followed by a tour of the Cemetery and Garden of Rest by Warden Paolo Ferrelli. This cemetery was the main Protestant Cemetery for Malta from 1806 to 1856. The tour will take place on a Saturday in January, February or late March 2024. There is ample parking at both sites. Please note these are mainly outdoor events and there is not much available shelter at Msida Bastions.
